Is your acne flaring up? Can’t figure out why?
A couple of things may be at play. First, stress. Stress increases hormone production, and with that, more oil production. And for those prone to acne, this means more breakouts!
Another factor is that everyone’s daily routines are off, and maybe you aren’t following your homecare quite as well as you should. You might be touching your face a lot more, while sitting around working from home, or online school. Maybe you are eating a lot more sugar or refined food.
Those are some very simplified reasons for more breakouts right now. Everyone is different and we each have our own special skin needs. If you want some help over the phone or face time, call me! A couple very simple things to do at home NOW:
Ice your inflamed acne twice a day with ice cubes for 1-2 minutes.
Drink more water and eat your water in vegetables!
Sleep on clean pillowcases and wash your face before you go to bed!
Stop scrubbing your face. Scrubbing is really only okay for non-inflamed skin and does not need to be done every day. Say no to electronic scrub brushes. Use them on your feet.
