Treating Acne Without Medication
Before you take yourself or your teen to the dermatologist, see an esthetician for (me!) acne concerns. Many options for topical acne treatments are available. Maybe you have tried using the OTC drugstore variety of acne products and had little improvement. Licensed Estheticians can offer you acne protocols that are proven. We use and carry Face Reality Acne products, Viktoria De'Ann skincare. I am a certified Face Reality Professional, which means that I have undergone a training program and taken a certification test. I carry Face Reality Products and that is what I recommend to my clients. I know a lot about acne, and having teens myself, I know how frustrating acne can be for them, and for the parent. I can help! And if your teen or you just follow the steps at home, acne will clear up. It is a process that takes diligence.
In addition to using the right acne products at home, bi-monthly corrective facials for acne are key. A double cleanse, analysis, extractions, enzyme or chemical peel every two weeks will help the healing process. Sometimes LED lights are used, or ultrasound to help topicals penetrate. Getting the education on what causes acne, what makes it worse, and homecare for acne is part of any acne treatment appointment.
